Today was my last day at PPI. I've been in there for transition meetings all week and today was the last of them.

I felt strangely reluctant to leave for the last time. It's good to be part of a team on a daily basis. For a loner like me, it's odd how much I don't really like working alone.

Ah well.

Here's something I've been saying for a few years now.

Steven Hawking: "The human race is likely to be wiped out by a doomsday virus before this millennium is out unless it starts to colonize space"

 It's been awhile.

Soon I will resume blogging on a regular basis. I will be creating two new logs: NEAviation, NEMaritime. I will also start posting to this one again.

NEAviation will be about the goings on in General Aviation around New England. At first it will focus on airports in the extended Seacoast area, but if successful I'll expand it to a wider NE area. This blog will be the companion piece to other Aviation related activities and products which I will be getting into.

NEMaritime will be about maritime history and current-day activities. It will focus on sail-powered, traditional vessels eg. wooden boats, gaff rigged vessels, other rigs, shipbuilding (then and now), 18th and 19th century ships, boats and the people who worked with the sea. This blog will also be a companion piece to other Maritime related activities and products.

Let's see.
