| My Mom's Guide to Using iPhoto 2
A step-by-step guide to the everyday features of iPhoto. |
Sometimes the images you want to add to your iPhoto Library are already in files on your disk drive. This may be because you had to manually download them from your camera, or maybe you digitized them from old snapshots.
In order to move these pictures into iPhoto you'll need to know which folder on your disk drive contains the photo files. If you're not sure about this, consult your computer manual, or ask your friendly neighborhood Macintosh Mentor.
After you've imported your photos the original disk files will remain where you found them. If you want, you can now throw the orinals into the trash since they are now safely stored in your iPhoto Photo Library.
Importing more than one file at a time.
If you have more than one photo file to import, and they are all in the same folder, in Step #4 you can select more than one at a time by holding down the Command key while clicking on the file's names.
Importing an entire folder of photos.
If you want to import ALL the files in a particular folder, in Steps #3 & #4, select the name of the folder. Then continue with Step #5.
